INSURANCE

When you choose to open a safety deposit box with us, we provide you with complimentary insurance cover for the first 12 months. This insurance policy offers comprehensive protection, covering your items up to £10,000 with a comprehensive “all-risk” policy, including fidelity cover.

Each box’s contents are independently insured with My Security Box, under the primary account holder. In the event of any claims, the insurer will directly pay out to the policyholder, rather than through Keighley Vaults.

You have the option to insure your box for up to £500,000, providing comprehensive cover for all your valuables.  It is important to have an insurance policy that adequately covers the contents of your box. Ensure you accurately assess the value of your items to avoid underinsuring them.

Insurance covers a wide range of valuable items, including gold, silver, precious metals, jewellery, precious stones, securities, bonds, money, numismatic collections, philatelic collections, and other valuable items or documents. Rest assured that your cherished possessions are safeguarded through the comprehensive insurance cover.

Extend your cover even further by opting to insure your valuables for up to £100,000 outside of your security box. This means that wherever you go within the UK, whether you are carrying or wearing your valuables for special occasions like weddings or social events, they will be protected. The cover includes up to 20 days per year, which includes travel to or from Keighley Vaults. With this added insurance, you can have peace of mind knowing that your valuables are safeguarded both within and outside our facility.
